About Berry

I am a petroleum engineer, a marathon runner, a newby backpacker, an aggressive reader, a teacher, and a writer. But more important than any of that: I am in love with Cyndi Simpson; we’ve been married since July 1979. We have one daughter and one son and one son-on-law, all in their 20s.

We minister with young married couples at our church, First Baptist Church, in Midland, Texas. I also teach an early morning men’s book study class at my church.
